After my mother was promoted to be with God in glory in January 2000 I was in mixed emotions going to the Philippine General Hospital to visit a church mate and be a blood donor. The woman was badly burned due to an electric circuit gone bad. So, I was there in the hospital waiting for my turn to be called to fill up the form to donate when a young man 19 years old at the most came to me and asked if I was interested to pay him so he too can “ donate “ blood to the person I came for. The Warning Poster was very clear “ blood vendors are NOT to be entertained and should be reported ”.
I was able to visit the lady I came for and she was very happy to know that I donated blood for her. She later asked me about my mother and I said mother was “OK” and my heart wept inside coz 4 days ago we just buried her. I left sad but wiser. The teen was still outside and I asked him to have a meal with me. Nobody took his offer after all his waiting and trying. During our meal I learned he had to sell blood in order to buy medicines for his father who got sick working as a construction company painter. Promised him I’d find a way he get a decent job. After our meal he begged me to find him a buyer so he can sell one of his kidneys as soon as possible.
WHOA! I WAS STILL GRIEVING MY MOTHER’S LOSS, JUST VISITED & DONATED BLOOD TO A MOTHER FRIEND WHO JUST SURVIVED HER BURNS AND HERE, BEFORE THIS YOUNG MAN, I REALIZED IF DYING IS HARD, FOR SOME LIVING COULD BE HARDER. Talk about being tased. I was! You never know how it feels unless you really hit the bottom face first, you crash and the bottom drops out and you feel you are all alone and bleeding. Hopefully not crazy.
You and I have our own stories to tell as we travel this journey called life. We all breathe the same air and We all go to same inevitable end.
BUT
Above all else WE HAVE a SAVIOR! ONE who truly was alone and bore all the heartaches and grief, the bruises and stripes and died and rose again that we may have “LIFE” and live it abundantly. ONE who knows and understands all our fears our longing and prayers long before we uttered it.
I cannot make it alone, human existence per se is so painful. Just look around.
Yet & Yes we have a Savior who knows it all. Come to Him and be satisfied. We’d BE GLAD TO SHARE. Be in touch so WE CAN BE A BLESSING TODAY.
GOD LOVES YOU. GOD LOVES ME. We will never fully understand but that doesn’t Change WHO HE IS.
OUR HEAVENLY FATHER IS LOVE.

That’s the reality of life such that we are encouraged to be kind -for everyone we meet is fighting a battle we know nothing about. As Christians always remember that we’re not alone. .We have Jesus in us. He is our refuge and our strength in times of troubles. Romans 8:28
