The Chiefsquad of Arellano University held onto the crown during the NCAA Cheerleading Competition, winning its historic title for a sixth consecutive time during the Season 100 showcase held at the Mall of Asia Arena on Thursday.
With the theme “Unstoppable,” the Chiefsquad mesmerized all judges and fans with an energetic eight-minute performance and finished the contest with an outstanding winning score of 218.
“‘Yung mga nakaraang title namin, ang haba kasi ng playing years ng mga batang nandoon. Ito puro bago halos,” Chiefsquad head coach Lucky San Juan said.
Finishing second is the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA Perpsquad, which earned a score of 213.5 points, while the Letran Cheering Squad ended up third with 210.5 points.
The season saw nine squads competing, since the Lyceum of the Philippines University were unable to form a squad due to a lack of performing members required.
Due to its sixth-year championship, the Arellano Chiefssquad proved to be the team everybody wants to beat in NCAA cheerleading.
