Manama: An amount of 10,000 dinars was handed over from BMC’s Social Welfare Security Scheme to the family of Indian Club member Mr. Dinakar Shetty, who passed away in Bahrain. The Indian Club had enrolled all its members in Bahrain Media City’s Social Welfare Security Scheme.
The financial assistance of 10,000 dinars was provided to the family of the Karnataka native, who had passed away in Bahrain and was a member of BMC’s Fitness and Wellness Program. The amount was handed over during a simple ceremony held recently at the Indian Club. In the presence of BMC Chairman Mr. Francis Kaitharath, Indian Club Vice President Mr. Vidyadharan handed over the documents to Mr. Pradeep Shetty, a family friend of the late Mr. Dinakar Shetty. Other members of the Indian Club’s governing committee also attended the function.
Since last year, the Indian Club has enrolled its members in Bahrain Media City’s Social Welfare Security Scheme, increasing the posthumous assistance for members from 5,000 dinars to 10,000 dinars.
IMAC Bahrain Media City, established in Bahrain in 2020, has been implementing this Social Welfare Security Scheme as part of its social responsibility initiatives. The financial assistance was provided under the scheme prepared for BMC Fitness and Wellness Program members, informed Mr. Francis Kaitharath, Chairman and Managing Director of BMC.
By paying just 22 dinars, individuals can become members of the Fitness and Wellness Program and receive a one-year Digital Multi-Business Discount Card along with a one-year Life Cover Protection Plan worth 10,000 dinars.
Membership is available to GCC citizens and expatriates on work visas between the ages of 18 and 64. Financial assistance is provided for accidental deaths, natural deaths (excluding suicide), and permanent total disability.
