Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Let us look at this verse
Jeremiah 11:14
“Do not pray for this people or offer any plea or petition for them, because I will not listen when they call to me in the time of their distress.”
I want to briefly discuss why God blessed certain areas of our lives and not others or so it seems. God will not and cannot bless us when we insist on keeping sinful company or sinful environments around us. You may be doing what the Lord says, praying, praising, refraining from sin, tithing, fasting and keeping His commandments. However, the environment or company you continue to keep in your life will not allow Him to bless you. God is a just God, therefore, He will evaluate everything accordingly. If you are sitting and enjoying the company of sinners and of sinful environments (that could include your workplace) He will not bless that place or you while you are there.
Jeremiah 11:14 explains that even if you plead with the Lord He won’t bless certain people even if you pray day and night for them because they are rebelling against him and you are doing the same by continuing to sit with them.
If there are such people in your workplace or close environment you should pray they come into repentance or distance yourself from them. You do not need to be enemies, however, it is best you distance yourself as bad company can corrupt good character (see Corinthians 15:33).
Therefore, subject yourselves to realizing who or what the reason your blessings aren’t coming through. Perhaps you need to pray and ask for a revelation of what around you is keeping a blessing from arriving. God loves you but just as stated in Joshua 7:11–12:
“Israel has sinned; they have violated my covenant… That is why the Israelites cannot stand against their enemies; they turn their backs and run because they have been made liable to destruction. I will not be with you anymore unless you destroy whatever among you is devoted to destruction.” You are continuing to be devoted to what the Lord is asking you to destroy: ungodly ties within ungodly places.
I hope this message helps bring clarification and may the Holy Spirit reveal the truth to you and fill you with strength to remove anything hindering your blessings.
I feel this is an extensive topic and therefore I will continue the next time with what else is considered a violation and won’t allow blessings to come forth to their fullest.
Prayer of the week:
Abba Father,
Lord of Hosts,
My savior and redeemer, fill me with the knowledge and discernment to know what or who I need to remove from my life. I want to honor your covenant Lord Jesus, where I have unknowingly gone against Your will by sitting in sinful situations through association. I ask you give me the strength to change that and remove it from my life.
I thank You for your mercy and grace.
Bless me, oh, Adonai! Bless me and I shall keep Your commandments for I know You died on that cross and rose after three days for my iniquities. Forgive me, Lord Jesus.
I live to honor You and I walk in the grace and blessings that You are getting ready to fill my life with.
Amen and amen.
Dear sisters and brothers. I know you will be filled with the strength to change your current situations and I know that your blessings will start pouring in like rainfall by the end of the next month.
Watch God work His miracles on repeat!
Hallelujah!
Your Sister in Christ,
God’s Kingdom Writer,
