Manama: The Pravasi Legal Cell (PLC) Bahrain Chapter held a heartwarming farewell event for Ihjas Aslam, outgoing C.S., First Secretary (POL & PIC) at the Embassy of India, at the Indian Darbar Restaurant Adliya last day. The occasion was attended by esteemed guests, including Member of Parliament HE Hassan Bukhammas, Second Secretary of the Indian Embassy Ravi Singh and his spouse Vandana Singh, along with members of the Governing Council.
Senior Governing Council Member Sushma Gupta provided a warm welcome to all attendees, acknowledging the significance of the gathering as a testament to the camaraderie within the community.
The event commenced with an opening address by Sudheer Thirunilath, Global PRO & President of the Pravasi Legal Cell. In his speech, Thirunilath highlighted the invaluable contributions made by Aslam during his tenure, emphasizing the strong ties between the Indian community and the Bahrain government fostered through his efforts.
Several senior Governing Council members shared their sentiments, including Raji Unnikrishnan, Ramanpreet Singh, Francis Kaitharath and General Secretary Rithin Raj who spoke fondly of their experiences working alongside Aslam and expressed best wishes for his future endeavors.
The evening culminated in a delightful dinner, allowing attendees to socialize and reminisce about the positive impact Aslam had made within the community.
