Now that her first lead starrer has premiered on Monday on TV5 at 11:15 AM, prior to noontime fave Eat Bulaga, the new noontime princess Miles Ocampo could tell herself that yes, it has already sank into her system that indeed, she is already a star via her new TV series Padyak Princess.
During the mediacon held recently at the TV5 compound, Miles was full of excitement and even quite emotional as she admitted that the show she is starring in, has not sank in yet and said that until she sees the first airing of the show, that would be the time should believe that she is now a lead star.
Miles even asked the director tearfully if she was really the choice because although she has been given good projects in the past, she had mostly supporting roles, and now came this lead project. And it is for this reason that Miles is overly grateful for the trust given to her by Direk Mike who told Miles, “you can’t do anything more, it is done, and you are now our Princess Padyak.” She also thanked TV5 to whom she promised to make good in every episode.
Her co-stars Joao Constancia, who, it was observed to having a good chemistry with Miles, spoke of praises to his partner and likewise grateful for this project ditto with Jameson Blake. Would there be a love triangle in the series is a question to watch out for.
In the new series, Miles takes on the role of Princess, a charming and determined young woman who dreams of someday reviving her family’s reputation and her barangay’s golden days. To make ends meet for her family, Princess must step up as the breadwinner.
Asked how she could relate her story in her own life, Miles admitted that she is doing everything for her family, her greatest “why” she is in this business.
As Princess’ story unfolds, she faces life’s challenges with courage, determination, and a dash of humor.
The former child star turned award-winning actress is known for her remarkable versatility, Padyak Princess promises to deliver an entertaining story filled
with heart-warming moments, inspiring triumphs, and unforgettable characters that will delight noontime viewers.
Joining this exciting new series is an ensemble cast led by Ara Mina, Ces Quesada, Christian Vasquez, Cris Villanueva, Yayo Aguila, Gillian Vicencio, Jameson Blake, Jem Manicad, Joao Constancia, Karissa Toliongco, Kira Balinger, David Remo, and Miel Espinoza.
The mediacon highlighted the cast’s thoughts on the forthcoming Father’s Day and each gave its own lesson from their dads.
Each of them shared what their respective fathers admonished and vividly remembers like Ara Mina who was told by her father that it’s okay to get hurt, but make sure to get up again;
For Direk Easy, be strong for yourself before facing everyone; Yayo, meanwhile said she had a good relationship with her dad who told her to stand up for her choices in life, choose your battles and choose to be a good person.
Ces Quesada whose father was a judge, told her, to do her work seriously and love it, do what is right, save, you are destined for greater things in the future. You cannot buy all things in this world.
Joao became emotional on the topic about Father’s Day
because he is living alone in the Philippines since his family is in Macau. His situation here teaches him how important a family is. He said his father is supportive of his work, and he was given many pieces of advice and one of them is, life is too short so be grateful for everything, we don’t know how long will we last here on earth.
Kira Balinger shared that her father taught her, never fight fire with fire, be the bigger person, not the bad one, how we behave is what we will be remembered as a person.
For Jameson Blake, his father taught him how to deal with sacrifices, sometimes it teaches us lessons indirectly, appreciate people with what you have and for what they have.
Miles Ocampo’s message from her father was her guiding principle in her life as an artist —respect other people’s time, a very valuable piece of advice.
Catch Miles Ocampo as TV5’s Padyak Princess, airing Mondays to Fridays at 11:15AM which premiered June 10, with same day catch-up on BuKo at 7:30PM.
