After months of silence, actress and entrepreneur Neri Naig-Miranda finally broke her silence following the dismissal of cases filed against her.
Through her social media account, she shared several images of her arrest by authorities as well as some scenes inside the detention center of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in November 2024.
Her post also included the official statement by her lawyer affirming her innocence and dismissing the cases for syndicated estafa and violations of the Securities Regulation Code.
Miranda revealed that she never thought her name would appear on that list of the “most wanted” in the country. She further adds that she never hides from anyone and is visible on social media.
Though she is not yet ready to tell her whole side, she said there will be “proper time” for her to tell the whole truth about the incident. She said that this is a nightmare in her life that she will never forget.
The actress also thanked the family and husband, Chito Miranda, who stayed by her side during the difficult trial. She also thanked all the people who supported and believed in her innocence.
The complaint stemmed from a group of complainants’ investors against the Dermacare Beyond Skin Care Solution company, where Miranda was one of their endorsers. In spite of the issues concerning her, she expressed hope that little by little she could rise above this trial and continue her business and career in the industry.
