Nippon Paint (Coatings) Philippines, Inc. today proudly unveiled its latest innovation in exterior wall protection — the Weatherbond Quartz series — setting a new standard in defending homes and buildings against the country’s harsh and unpredictable climate.
The highly anticipated launch underscores Nippon Paint’s continued commitment to the Filipino market, reflecting its deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by local homeowners. The event was attended by key distributors and trusted industry partners, all instrumental in delivering Nippon Paint’s cutting-edge solutions to Filipino households.
Taking center stage, Mr. Chen Lee Siong, General Manager of Nippon Paint (Coatings) Philippines, Inc., shared his vision behind the new series.
“For us at Nippon Paint, this isn’t just another product on the shelf. It’s about understanding what makes a house a home. In the Philippines, where weather can be brutal and unpredictable, we saw a responsibility to create something resilient — a paint that doesn’t just coat walls but protects memories, values, and dreams. That’s what Weatherbond Quartz stands for.”
At the heart of the Weatherbond Quartz series is a fusion of advanced technologies designed to deliver superior performance, long-term durability, and aesthetic longevity.
Quartz Technology creates a tough, high-resilience film that enhances protection. Keep Clean Technology actively resists dirt, efflorescence, and alkali buildup, keeping walls looking fresh. Sunblock Technology helps lower surface temperatures by up to 5°C — a crucial benefit in the tropical Philippine climate. Fibra Technology, included in the Weatherbond Ultimate variant, reinforces the paint film to guard against cracking and peeling. Micro Block Technology offers defense against mold, fungus, and algae, while Color Care Technology preserves vibrant colors that resist fading, even under harsh sunlight.
In addition to its technical strengths, Weatherbond Quartz provides robust UV protection, resistance to acid rain, and an 8-year protection guarantee. Select shades also feature a high Solar Reflectance Index (SRI), helping reduce indoor heat and contributing to energy efficiency. As part of Nippon Paint’s Green Choice initiative, it also meets stringent standards for environmental responsibility — a reflection of the company’s commitment to sustainable innovation.
Mr. Chen further emphasized that the product was designed with the Filipino homeowner in mind.
“We engineered Weatherbond Quartz not just for performance, but for peace of mind. This is more than surface protection — it’s a promise of strength and reliability in every brushstroke.”

Lakas na Hindi Kukupas” — the Weatherbond Quartz series is set to redefine resilience and beauty in the local paint industry.
