A Low Pressure Area (LPA) was located 125 kilometers east-northeast of Aparri, Cagayan, as of 3:00 AM today, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA). The weather disturbance is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and Aurora. These conditions may lead to flash floods and landslides, particularly in low-lying and mountainous areas.
The southwest monsoon (habagat) continues to affect Central and Southern Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao. As a result, areas such as Metro Manila, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, and Occidental Mindoro are likely to experience occasional rains throughout the day. Weather authorities are advising the public to remain cautious, as moderate to heavy rainfall could trigger localized flooding and landslides in these regions.
Western Visayas and other parts of Luzon are also under the influence of the monsoon, with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms expected. Residents are encouraged to stay alert for sudden downpours that may result in flash flooding, especially in flood-prone areas.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country will generally experience fair weather, with partly cloudy to cloudy skies and isolated thunderstorms, mostly in the afternoon or evening. Although these thunderstorms are typically brief and localized, they may still bring intense rainfall capable of causing flash floods or landslides.
Due to expected heavy rains, local government units in affected areas may suspend classes in both public and private schools, especially in regions under heavy rainfall warnings or those with flooding threats. Residents are advised to monitor official announcements from their respective LGUs and the Department of Education for class suspension updates.
Moderate winds from the southwest to southeast will prevail over Northern Luzon, accompanied by moderate coastal seas. Elsewhere, light to moderate southwest winds and slight to moderate sea conditions are expected. Those living in coastal or flood-prone areas are urged to stay updated on official weather advisories and take necessary safety precautions.
