Manama: The Pinoy Bahrain Basketball League (PBBL) and Pinoy Bahrain Volleyball League (PBVL) officially opened their highly anticipated 4th Season 2nd Conference Basketball and Volleyball Tournament 2024 at The Hub Gym at RCSI, Busaiteen.
The event was graced by the presence of Consul Bryan Jess Baguio from the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines, who served as the guest speaker. In his address, Consul Baguio expressed the Embassy’s support for the leagues and highlighted the importance of sports in fostering camaraderie and unity among the Filipino community in Bahrain.
According to Daryll Soriano, Head of the Organizing Committee for the PBBL, the tournament features a total of 24 basketball teams and 12 volleyball teams. The action-packed games commenced yesterday and are scheduled to continue until December 2024.
The PBBL and PBVL have become popular sporting events within the Filipino community in Bahrain, offering a platform for athletes to showcase their skills and compete at a high level. The leagues have also played a significant role in promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and camaraderie among participants.
