Manama: Future Society for Youth has announced the election of seven members to its new Board of Directors for the 2026–2028 term, following elections held at the Society’s headquarters, where 10 members contested the board seats.
Following the elections, the newly elected Board held its first meeting, during which Mr. Sabah Al Zayani was endorsed as Chairman, Dr. Amal Al Qallaf as Vice Chairperson, Mr. Yousif Al Sayegh as Treasurer, and Mr. Ali Sabt as Secretary. The Board also assigned Ms. Naeema Taheri to oversee Strategic Planning and Quality, Mr. Ali Al Alawi to lead Public Relations and Media, and Ms. Rana Abdulmohsen to oversee the Society’s “Smile” initiative.
Commenting on the announcement, Mr. Al Zayani affirmed that the new Board brings together a balanced and complementary group of members, combining long-standing experience in voluntary work with fresh youth energy and enthusiasm for achievement, and noted that the diversity of academic and professional backgrounds among Board members will provide the Society with added momentum as it works to shape its strategy and deliver initiatives that serve the Bahraini community.
Mr. Al Zayani particularly highlighted the presence of young members on the Board, noting that this supports leadership continuity within the Society and reflects a promising future in which Future Society for Youth can continue its record of excellence and contribution.
“We are entering a new phase in which we will build on more than 24 years of achievements in the Society’s journey. Over the coming two years, we look forward to further developing our existing flagship initiatives, including Smile and MicroShabab, while also launching at least two major new initiatives. This will further reinforce Future Society for Youth’s leading role in civil society and voluntary work in our beloved Kingdom,” Mr. Al Zayani said.
