Dear Brothers and sisters in Christ,
This week, the Lord placed on my heart a powerful truth I want to share that I also incorporate in my daily life: There is immense blessing in gratitude and intercession.
It’s so easy to take our daily lives for granted the food, the fresh water, the roof over our heads, clothing we have to wear. We have all done it and it grieves the Holy Spirit. The Lord is displeased when we overlook this and take it all for granted complaining for all we don’t have and wish we had. Some do not have the ability to even have basic necessities like food, water, access to health care, family and so much more.
This alone should make us think twice before complaining and not thanking God daily for our blessings. Remember, if we are not faithful and thankful with the little we have, how can He trust us with more? As the verses in Luke 16:10 says: Being trustworthy in small things qualifies us for greater things. Let’s have a heart of gratitude for everything, big and small. This act of thankfulness pleases God and opens the door for more of His blessings.
The second thing I want to encourage is interceding for others. As children of God, we are called to pray for our friends, neighbors, and even strangers in need. When we selflessly set aside our own lists of endless requests and pray for others, God sees that. He moves in their situation and blesses us double. Something just shifts in heaven when we leave our selfish desires and pray for others. As 1 Timothy 2:1 says: “Let petitions and intercessions be made for all people.”
Finally, as I mentioned at the start of the month, I still feel in my spirit that October is a month of birthing new things new jobs, new ideas, new friendships new opportunities. My prayer for you is that these new beginnings bring you great joy and the deep peace that only God can give.
Please read Psalm 5:11-12 this week: “But let all who take refuge in you be glad… Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.” Pray this with faith, and watch His favor unfold. Blessings will come out of the most unexpected places.
My prayer for all of you this week is that God blesses you all with divine joy , new favorable birthings and peace in your mind and spirit. Shout Amen and hallelujah!
