The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) said on Friday that they are starting to recruit 100 Filipino caregivers who will be assigned to South Korea under the Caregiver Pilot Project.
Under the said project, DMW will help or look for qualified Filipino caregivers who are tasked to clean the house, attend to kids, and be an aide to pregnant women.
Interested caregiver applicants can show their Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) National Certificate (NC) II caregiving certificate.
Qualified ages are from 24-38 years old and the registration will start on May 9 – 10.
Moreover, according to the DMW, the selected applicants will undergo tests such as medical, language, physical and psychological as well as pre-departure and post-arrival training.
The project is part of South Korea’s Employment Permit System (EPS), which permits Korean employers to hire overseas workers when there are no local workers available.
