The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Orlando Magic 106-94 in Game 7 on Sunday, advancing to the second round of the 2024 NBA playoffs.
The loss in Game 7 ended the season for the fifth-seeded Magic.
Donovan Mitchell ended with 39 points on Sunday after scoring 50 in Game 6. He scored 17 points in the third quarter, which the Cavs dominated 33-15, transforming a 10-point halftime deficit into an 8-point lead.
Meanwhile, Evan Mobley had 16 rebounds and Darius Garland made a crucial three-pointer.
According to @CavsNotes on X, Mobley is the only Cleveland player in postseason history to score 11 points, 16 rebounds, and 5 assists. He is also the only Cavaliers player in history to record at least five blocks in two consecutive playoff games.
The NBA says Cleveland’s comeback is the largest in a Game 7 since the league started tracking play-by-play in 1997-98.
On Tuesday, May 7, at 7 p.m., the fourth-seeded Cavaliers will face the top-seeded Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
