As the -ber months roll in, there’s a familiar sound returning to Filipino playlists — but with a fresh, soulful twist.
Award-winning all-male pop-rock group InnerVoices has officially released their own rendition of the Christmas classic O Holy Night, marking their fourth Christmas offering and perhaps their most ambitious yet.
The story behind the release is as heartfelt as the song itself.
According to InnerVoices leader Rey Bergado, the group first created their version last year simply as a pasasalamat to their supporters. They made a Christmas presentation using the song and posted it online.
Unexpectedly, it took off — generating about two million views across their platforms.
“But since Christmas was almost over then, we decided to officially release the song this year,” Bergado shared.
The official release was launched on October 23 during a special back-to-back reunion show with OPM icon Lloyd Umali at Noctos Music Bar in Manila, where audiences got to hear the new arrangement live for the first time.
Though the band announced an indefinite hiatus, they continue to return to the stage from time to time — not for the spotlight, but to reconnect with supporters who have stayed with them since their days headlining venues like Arts Venue on Taft Avenue in the 90s.
O Holy Night has touched hearts across generations with its powerful melody and deeply moving message celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.
As a traditional song already in the public domain, the group saw an opportunity to make it their own. InnerVoices added a new verse to give the song a new flavor, in the same way Josh Groban did with his take on the classic.
“We were looking for a song na alam ng lahat that’s why we think O Holy Night is perfect,” Rey mused.
With their own interpretation, InnerVoices hopes to offer a fresh musical experience while preserving the song’s sacred character and emotional depth, creating a meaningful listening experience for longtime admirers and younger audiences discovering it anew.
More than a seasonal favorite, the song remains a musical expression of hope and grace — values the band says define the spirit of Christmas: faith, hope, love, and peace.

O Holy Night follows a growing list of holiday originals from the band. It comes after Sana Ngayong Pasko in 2022, and Pasko Sa Ating Puso and Pasko’y Muling Darating in 2025.
Following its release, the track is now available worldwide on digital and social media platforms.

For now, InnerVoices invites everyone to pause, listen, and rediscover the timeless message of the season.

InnerVoices’ O Holy Night is now streaming on YouTube, Spotify, and all major digital platforms. //
