IN a heartwarming display of compassion and solidarity, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Davao recently spearheaded a successful relief operation in Davao City and Davao de Oro, demonstrating their commitment to supporting communities in need in consonance with the Valentine’s Day celebration. The initiative involved the distribution of essential food to both public utility vehicle (PUV) drivers and passengers, as well as the provision of relief goods to those affected by a devastating flood incidents.
The LTFRB’s first phase of assistance, headed by Regional Director Nonito A. Llanos III, took place at two entry points of Davao City, namely Lasang and Sirawan check-points. Here, the LTFRB team generously distributed nourishing “Arroz caldo” to random PUV drivers and passengers, recognizing the challenges they face amid the ongoing public health and economic crises. This thoughtful act not only provided much-needed sustenance to the recipients but also served as a poignant gesture of love and support, embodying the spirit of Valentine’s Day and fostering a sense of togetherness and care in the community.

Following this impactful endeavor, the LTFRB’s humanitarian efforts extended to the town of Mawab in Davao de Oro, where they swiftly responded to the aftermath of a tragic incident. With unwavering determination, the dedicated team orchestrated the distribution of 269 relief packs, each containing essential goods for the affected individuals and families. Additionally, they thoughtfully provided 100 snack packs specifically tailored for the kids, acknowledging the unique needs of the younger members of the community during such challenging circumstances.

The successful execution of these relief operations stands as a testament to the LTFRB’s unwavering commitment to serving the Filipino people, especially in times of crisis, in a manner befitting the spirit of Valentine’s Day. By addressing the immediate needs of PUV drivers, passengers, and flood victims, the LTFRB Davao has demonstrated their deep-rooted concern for the welfare and well-being of the communities they serve. Their actions have not only provided tangible assistance but have also uplifted spirits and fostered a sense of love, togetherness, and compassion among those impacted.
