Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines, Inc. (PCPPI) has partnered with the First Gen Group (First Gen) to source geothermal power for three of its manufacturing plants, reinforcing the beverage company’s commitment to more sustainable and environmentally responsible operations.
The two companies marked the partnership through a ceremonial signing held on October 15, 2026. Under the agreement, First Gen will supply approximately 11.35 megawatts (MW) of renewable power to PCPPI’s manufacturing facilities in Sto. Tomas, Batangas; Rosario, La Union; and San Fernando, Pampanga.
The partnership forms part of PCPPI’s broader efforts to expand the use of renewable energy across its 11 manufacturing plants nationwide. Through this initiative, the company aims to strengthen its operations while progressively reducing its reliance on conventional energy sources and minimizing its environmental impact.

“At PCPPI, we believe that business growth and sustainability should go hand in hand. Our partnership with First Gen is an important step toward making our manufacturing operations more environmentally responsible. As we continue to expand the use of renewable energy across our facilities, we remain committed to building a stronger business while reducing our environmental impact,” said PCPPI President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Chang Hwan Lee.
Established in 1989, PCPPI is the exclusive manufacturer of PepsiCo beverages in the Philippines. Its portfolio includes Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Lipton Soda, 7Up, Mirinda, Mug, Gatorade, Sting, Tropicana, Lipton Iced Tea, Milkis, Soonhari, Saero, and Premier Water.
“Over the years, PCPPI has demonstrated strong commitment and action towards sustainability through water management, circularity, and environmental conservation. It is a privilege to forge a collaborative partnership with PCPPI and support their shift to renewable energy,” said First Gen Chief Customer Engagement Officer Carlo Vega.
With over 1,700 MW of installed capacity, the First Gen Group is the leading producer of geothermal power in the country, the only renewable energy (RE) platform capable of 24/7 baseload generation. Aside from geothermal power, First Gen also generates over 400 MW of RE from facilities that run on hydro, solar and wind.
