Manama: The Kingdom of Bahrain continues to foster creativity, cultural exchange, and community engagement through a diverse range of public initiatives and events. Reflecting this spirit, the United Architects of the Philippines – Bahrain Chapter (UAP Bahrain) successfully opened the Arkonek – Art Exhibit at Dana Mall on 26 May 2026, bringing together architecture, art, and public participation in a unique creative showcase.
Conceived as the first core pillar of UAP Bahrain’s landmark institutional platform, the Arkonek – Art Exhibit highlights the artistic expressions of architects through traditional canvas artworks, digital architectural renderings, and digital photography. More than an art display, the exhibition demonstrates how architecture extends beyond the built environment and serves as a medium for creativity, culture, and visual storytelling.

The opening ceremony was graced by His Excellency Gines Jaime Ricardo D. Gallaga, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to the Kingdom of Bahrain, together with Strategic Partner Asian Paints Berger; Venue Collaboration Partner Dana Mall; valued industry partners JG Interiors, and Angel Tan Design Co.; representatives of the Philippine Professional Organization (PPO) – Bahrain Chapter; members of the architectural profession; participating artists; guests; and members of the wider community.

A notable feature of the exhibition was the successful conduct of interactive activities for adults and children, which concluded on 30 May 2026. These activities contributed to a welcoming and family-oriented environment that encouraged creativity, participation, and cultural exchange among visitors from diverse backgrounds and communities.
While the interactive activities have concluded, the ArkoneK – Art Exhibit remained open to the public until 03 June 2026. The exhibition showcased the creative talents of participating architects and artist-participants, serving as a celebration of artistic expression and the enduring relationship between architecture and the arts within the Kingdom of Bahrain.
