Davao City Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte on Sunday condemned President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. after the Philippine leader brought the former president, Rodrigo Duterte, to The Hague in the Netherlands to face charges of crimes against humanity.
During the 88th Araw ng Dabaw celebration, Mayor Duterte expressed his disgust, and wished PBBM that he could finish his term chief executive because they will fight for the “ilegal” arrest of her father, FPRRD.
“I will take this opportunity to tell Mr. Marcos how I feel about him. Mr. President Marcos, you will never be loved, especially by those of us who continue to call out Rody Duterte’s name. You will never be loved, Mr. Marcos.” Baste said
“We will stand up and we will fight back,” he added.
Baste continued by saying that Filipinos don’t have love for PBBM and that he only has “government resources and [his] term.”
“Beyond that, you are nothing!” he said.
Malacañang has yet to issue a statement regarding Baste Duterte’s statements.
