All work and no play make Juan a dull boy.
This is actor and CALABARZON guy Gary Estrada—having a farm in San Antonio, Quezon—believes in.
At the start of every week, Gary is very busy and his schedule is as hectic as anything.
From acting in GMA Network’s “Raising Mamay” to doing his construction business in Cainta, Rizal to meeting with showbiz people, Gary is always preoccupied with work not to mention his overload of business and arts assignments.
As a matter of fact, I know this because I have been doing a creative piece for him, a screenplay for a possible movie production. I am done with the script and just waiting for the right time to meet up and discuss my output anytime but he is always on the go so we haven’t sat seriously yet about the project.
Every time I asked for a meeting, he would first consult with his schedule and most of the time, he was booked.
One Thursday morning I texted him that I would want to meet him because I would anticipate a heavy working calendar in the next few days. He said that he would be happy to meet up with me as well.
But on the next day, he would adjust the schedule because he had a priority meeting with his uncle, the former president of the Philippines, Joseph Estrada.

“Sorry kasi, ngayon ko lang makakausap si (Because this is the only time I could talk with) Tito—a term of endearment to an older man by blood or affinity) Joseph after a long time,” he said apologetically.
Finally, Gary and I had a chance to talk intently about the script he made me write.
“Kasi, napakarami kong ginagawa. Busy ako palagi. Talagang wala na halos akong pahinga (It’s because I have so many things to do. I am always busy. I don’t take a rest, indeed),” quipped the young Estrada apologetically.
“There was a time we had to go out because it was a family and I didn’t have to miss my family schedule,” he said.
It was the wedding anniversary of Gary and Bernadette Allyson and a special date was made to celebrate a milestone in their union.
Gorio, as he is fondly called by kith and kin, has to give himself a lot of time with his three daughters.
Last weekend was such a beautiful and opportune time that he was with his wife and three daughters at their farm in San Antonio, Quezon.
It was also the time to breathe a whiff of fresh air in the countryside.
