PLDT High Speed Hitters dashed the Creamline Cool Smashers’ hopes for an easy entry into the finals after a 27-25, 22-25, 19-25, 25-16, 15-10 win in the 2025 PVL on Tour knockout semifinals at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Savi Davison led their comeback from the brink of defeat.
Davison scored 34 points, just one point shy of her career-high in the PVL.
The win brought PLDT to their first-ever finals appearance in the league, a feat they didn’t even achieve when they were still in the Philippine Superliga from 2018 to 2020.
In the fifth set, Davison scored eight of his points, including five of the last six points for PLDT.
As a result, the team recorded their seventh consecutive win in the tournament.
