Gasoline, diesel and kerosene prices will increase for all oil players at the beginning of October, but just by moderate percentages.
In a separate statement, Caltex, Cleanfuel, Jetti, Petro Gazz, Seaoil, and Shell announced that gasoline prices would increase by PHP0.45 per litre, while the price of diesel was hiked by PHP0.90 per litre. And kerosene prices were hiked by PHP0.30 per litre by each Caltex, Seaoil and Shell.
This is, aside from last week’s adjustments where the price of gasoline was pegged to be pushed up to PHP1.20 per litre, while diesel went up to PHP0.20 per litre. Kerosene, on the other hand, remains unchanged.
Year-to-date figures have registered a net increase of PHP5.85 per litre of gasoline, PHP1.95 per litre of diesel, and a net decrease of PHP6.35 per litre of kerosene.
The Department of Energy reported that prevailing gas prices in Metro Manila range from PHP49.15 to PHP72.55 per litre. In contrast, diesel is sold at PHP45.44 to PHP69.30 per litre, while kerosene is sold for PHP66.29 to PHP77.65 per litre.
