Manama, Bahrain – October 24, 2024: Pravasi Legal Cell has successfully facilitated the repatriation of Mr. Sunilkumar Rajan, an Indian national who had been stranded in Bahrain for over five years due to a travel ban and lack of a valid visa. Mr. Sunilkumar had also been facing severe medical issues, further complicating his situation.
With the assistance of the Embassy of India and the support of Bahrain Government authorities, the immigration process was smoothly completed, allowing Mr. Sunilkumar to board Gulf Air flight GF 60 on 24 October 2024, for his return to Trivandrum. His repatriation is a significant relief after years of hardship.
Mr. Sudheer Thirunilath, Global PRO & Bahrain Chapter President of Pravasi Legal Cell, expressed his deep gratitude to the Indian Embassy and Bahrain authorities for their timely intervention and support in this case. “The cooperation between the mission and the authorities ensured that Mr. Sunilkumar could finally reunite with his family and receive the medical care he urgently needs,” said Thirunilath.
HOPE Bahrain, a local humanitarian organization, also extended its support by providing a travel kit for Mr. Sunilkumar. Their representatives, Mr. Faizal Pattandy and Mr. Rony Domenic, along with Mr. Sudheer Thirunilath, were present at the Bahrain International Airport to ensure all arrangements were in place for his journey.
This is another example of how collaborative efforts between organizations and authorities can make a positive impact on the lives of distressed expatriates. Pravasi Legal Cell remains committed to providing continued support to the Indian expatriate community in Bahrain.
