President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., has lauded the benefits of the proposed Pax Silica Hub as it will help the country’s push for an artificial intellignece (AI)- driven economy.
“A product of the 23-member strong and US-led Pax Silica Initiative, the Pax Silica Industrial Hub will create an ecosystem that will have AI at its core,” Marcos said in his speech.
A 1,620-hectare site in New Clark City, Tarlac, is said to be the proposed location of a manufacturing hub under Pax Silica.
The President also said that it can help generate jobs for people.
“It will bring quality jobs to our people, accelerate our industrial competitiveness, and revitalize our economy,” Marcos said.
Pax Silica is part of Marcos’ agenda to enhance economic policy and technological development, despite opposition.
