Star Hunt artist Beaver Magtalas impressed audiences with his debut film, “When Magic Hurts,” produced by Rems Films and directed by Gabby Ramos, starring lead actors Mutya Orquia and Maxine Trinidad
Set in Atok, Benguet, the film centers on Ernest (Beaver), a photographer, who falls for Olivia (Mutya), a florist. Their romance complicates when Ernest’s parents urge him to marry childhood friend Trixie (Maxine).
The movie explores their lives and the challenges they confront, encouraging contemplation on love and relationships.
