In a dramatic turn of events, former President and current Republican nominee Donald Trump was escorted off stage at a Pennsylvania rally on Saturday following an incident that sounded like gunfire.
According to AFP, Trump was surrounded by security personnel and had visible blood on his right ear as he was quickly removed from the platform. The disturbance occurred just as Trump was pumping his fist toward the audience, prompting immediate action from his security detail.

Trump was taken to a nearby hospital after blood was seen on his face and ears. Witnesses reported hearing a loud bang, followed by shouts from the crowd as security agents formed a protective barrier around the former president.
The Secret Service has confirmed that Trump is now safe and an investigation into the incident is underway. “We responded immediately and are currently conducting a thorough investigation,” stated Secret Service Chief Spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi.
As of now, President Joe Biden has not been briefed on the situation. Further details are expected to be released as the investigation progresses.
