Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu has been extremely grateful for the success of her movie, My Love Will Make You Disappear, which grossed a whopping ₱173 million worldwide.
She took to social media to celebrate the success of this romantic drama, in which she starred alongside Kapamilya actor and on-screen partner Paulo Avelino.
“A thank you, long overdue. ❤ Grateful beyond words for this beautiful journey with #MyLoveWillMakeYouDisappear. This movie came a long way—with its fair share of bumps and unexpected turns — but through it all, I’m deeply thankful for the opportunity given to me.” Chiu started.
“In a time where so much content is just a click away, being trusted to lead a film made for the big screen feels incredibly special. Thank you @starcinema ❤️ 173M and counting (highest grossing Filipino film of 2025 as of to date),” she added.
“To the amazing people behind the scenes—promo team, creatives, writers, direk @cvovidanes, my wonderful co-stars.”
Chiu also thanked everyone who worked hard for the film with her, under the impression that they made the success behind the scenes come alive. Furthermore, she thanked her leading man, Paulo Avelino, saying, “My leading man @pauavelino, thank you for your heart, time, and dedication.”
The actress thanked the fan base that truly followed the movie since its release and those who organized block screenings. Chiu said the undying loyalty of all these to the movie accounted for much of its remarkable feat.
Earlier this month, both ABS-CBN and the production team behind My Love Will Make You Disappear organized a victory and thanksgiving dinner to celebrate its success. The event was attended by cast and crew as they rejoiced in the film from the Philippines to worldwide recognition.
