At just 17, Marianne Beatriz Batalla Bermundo isn’t just walking runways—she’s walking with purpose. With elegance that turns heads and a heart rooted in culture and kindness, she’s quickly becoming a name to remember. At the recent Grand Santacruzan Intramuros 2025, where tradition meets pageantry, Marianne lit up the celebration as the Queen of Pure Hearts, leaving a lasting impression of beauty, grace, and Filipino pride.
Invited by ASPIRE to join The Runway Atelier, she wore a striking red ensemble that symbolized love, courage, and devotion. But it wasn’t just the gown that caught everyone’s attention—it was the sincerity in her smile and the poise in her presence that truly stole the show.
“It’s truly an honor to be part of such a meaningful tradition,” she shared. “I hope my presence here inspires younger generations to embrace and preserve the beauty of our culture. Our heritage is something we should walk with—proudly and purposefully.”
For Marianne, being a queen means more than donning a crown. Every step she took reflected the strength of her values—faith, virtue, and a deep love for her roots. Her presence reminded everyone that true beauty lives in character, not just appearance.
A consistent honor student at Manila Adventist College, Marianne balances her academics with pageantry, modeling, and acting. As an ABM (Accountancy and Business Management) strand student, she manages her time with remarkable discipline and passion.
When asked how the Santacruzan keeps Filipino heritage alive, she answered,
“Joining the Santacruzan is a way to celebrate our faith, history, and beauty as Filipinos. I want young people to see it not just as a cultural event, but as a living reflection of who we are. It’s about understanding and honoring our roots.”
Marianne’s advocacy centers on youth empowerment through education and kindness. She believes these two pillars are key to raising compassionate leaders who can make a positive difference in the world.
To young girls dreaming of crowns and runways, she offers heartfelt advice:
“Believe in your unique beauty and purpose. Being a beauty queen is about more than looks—it’s about being a role model, staying grounded, and working hard. Be kind, stay humble, and never stop dreaming.”
Balancing school, pageants, and the arts isn’t easy, but for Marianne, passion fuels the process.
“Time management and passion are key,” she says. “I always prioritize school, but I’m also committed to every opportunity that comes my way. Because I love what I do, it never feels like a burden.”
Her acting journey began with a lead role in Ako si Kindness, directed by Cris Pablo—a project she connected with on a personal level.
“Kindness is something I deeply believe in, and I poured my heart into that role. The team saw that, and I was grateful to be chosen.”
To her, kindness means choosing compassion, even when it’s inconvenient.
“It’s found in the everyday moments—helping, respecting, listening. Kindness is a lifestyle.”
Behind her rising success is a strong support system. Her mother, Virgie Batalla Bermundo, expressed her unwavering love and pride:
“Mahal na mahal ko po siya at susuportahan ko siya hangga’t sa makakaya ko at gusto niya. Pangarap ng mga ina na matupad ang mga pangarap ng mga anak. Very dedicated si Marianne sa kanyang craft at pag-aaral.”
Her family, teachers, and classmates stand firmly by her side, cheering her on every step of the way.
She’s also guided and supported by Richard Hinola, a respected figure known for honoring talented individuals across various organizations. His mentorship has opened doors that continue to shape Marianne’s journey.
