MILWAUKEE—Former President Donald Trump has announced plans to launch a large-scale deportation operation if re-elected, reflecting the Republican Party’s renewed focus on immigration enforcement.
In his speech at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Trump pledged to execute the largest deportation campaign in U.S. history, surpassing the efforts of President Dwight D. Eisenhower’s administration in the 1950s.
Eisenhower’s policies were based on the belief that undocumented immigrants had no place in America and that employment opportunities should be reserved for American citizens.
Trump, known for his strong stance on immigration, emphasized his commitment to national security and economic advancement, though his approach remains controversial among different sectors.
