Mixed movements in petroleum product prices are expected this Tuesday, with diesel and kerosene prices set to decrease, while gasoline prices may either increase or decrease depending on the location and retailer.
According to the Department of Energy (DOE), the following price adjustments took effect at 6:00 a.m. today, June 16, 2026:
- Gasoline – rollback of up to P0.32 per liter or a possible increase of up to P1.68 per liter
- Diesel – rollback of P3.71 to P5.71 per liter
- Kerosene – rollback of P0.50 to P2.50 per liter
The DOE explained that price movements vary depending on the distance of fuel stations from supply depots, as well as the pricing policies of individual fuel retailers.
It may be recalled that last week, oil companies implemented price increases of P0.30 per liter for gasoline, P4.80 to P5.77 per liter for diesel, and P4.75 to P8.10 per liter for kerosene.
As a result, the year-to-date net increases as of June 9, 2026, reached P45.32 per liter for gasoline, P43.41 per liter for diesel, and P37.80 per liter for kerosene.
Based on the latest DOE data released on June 12, 2026, the country’s current fuel inventory is sufficient for 46.47 days of consumption.
This includes gasoline stocks equivalent to 44.98 days of supply, diesel at 43.06 days, kerosene at 139.12 days, jet fuel at 73.83 days, fuel oil at 45.50 days, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) at 45 days.
