Muharraq, Bahrain: The highly anticipated 8th Inter-GCC All Filipino One Day Volleyball Tournament took place recently at the prestigious Muharraq Sports Club. This year marked the eighth consecutive year of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s role as the hosting country for this thrilling event, which brought together Filipino players from neighboring GCC countries including the UAE, KSA, Bahrain, and Kuwait.
In the women’s division, the Valkyries Team of Dubai once again displayed their dominance and successfully defended their championship title from last year. The Aldrees Team of Riyadh secured an impressive second place, while the Supreme Spikers from Kuwait showcased their skills and secured the third spot on the podium.

The men’s category saw a remarkable performance from the teams hailing from the UAE, with AP Champ of Abu Dhabi emerging as the undisputed champions. FSM-FEVA and team VHRKHT from Dubai showcased their talent and claimed second and third place respectively.
Bahrain’s reputation for strategic tourism policies and the warm hospitality of its people have made it the perfect destination for hosting this prestigious sporting event. The Inter-GCC All Filipino One Day Volleyball Tournament has been exclusively held in Bahrain for the past eight years, attracting players and spectators from across the GCC region.

The event was graced by the presence of esteemed guests, including the Philippine Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Her Excellency Anne Jalando-on Louis, who was joined by other embassy officials. Also in attendance were the sponsors, donors, and Executive Committee of the Filipino Club Bahrain, led by its President, Mr. Ric Advincula.
