Manama: Al-Bilad’s list of the 50 most powerful Bahraini companies for the year 2023” in its second edition was announced during a ceremony held recently at the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel.
The ceremony was held under the patronage of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MOIC) and Abdulah bin Adel Fakrho with the presence of Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Eman Ahmed Aldoseri; Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Samer bin Abdullah Nass and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “Al-Bilad” Media Foundation, Abdulnabi bin Abdullah Alshoala.

According to the press statement released by Al Bilad to Pinoy Action News (PAN)Bahrain: ‘’The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce affirmed that the initiative of “Albilad’s list of the 50 most powerful Bahraini companies” aims to highlight the role of leading national institutions in supporting economic growth and establishing steps for its prosperity in a sustainable manner, in addition to highlighting the most prominent economic sectors that contribute to the growth of gross domestic product in support of the comprehensive development march of the Kingdom of Bahrain under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the great King of the country.’’

During the ceremony the list recognized the best companies in Bahrain that were chosen from 14 business sectors the best practices in business that showcased outstanding performance in key areas of industry operations from more than 200 industries with diverse activities and business backgrounds.

Dr. Omar Al-Obaidly, president of the Bahraini Economist Society was head of the Selection Committee. He was among the group of economists, researchers and members of academe espousing improving and evaluating companies’ performance levels.
