DURING a recent ‘Fast Talk With Boy Abunda’ episode, actor Alden Richards revealed his true feelings for his former love team partner, Maine Mendoza.
Alden candidly confessed, “Yes, I did have feelings for her. I don’t want to say she was aware of it, but I did confess.”
Host Boy Abunda asked if Aldub was his most significant romance and breakup, and Alden agreed, expressing his gratitude for Maine and their time on ‘Eat Bulaga’.
He added, “It’s a breakup, but let’s not always associate it with negativity. Breakups don’t have to be painful. It was a necessary step for both of us to grow and move forward.”
For those unfamiliar with it, ‘Aldub’ was the endearing nickname fans gave to the tandem of Alden and Yaya Dub (Maine’s character) when they first appeared on ‘Eat Bulaga’ in the ‘Kalyeserye’ segment in 2015.
Today, both Alden and Maine are pursuing individual projects. Maine hosts ‘E.A.T.’, while Alden continues to excel in his career.
