Enchanted Kingdom (EK), the Philippines’ premier world-class theme park, celebrated its 30th anniversary on March 30, 2025, with the grand launch of its newest ride—EKlipse, a groundbreaking family thrill ride and the first in Southeast Asia.
“We are very happy to have the grand launch of EK’s newest ride, called “EKlipse.” Ito po ay isa sa mga regalo natin, a gift for our 30th anniversary celebration of Enchanted Kingdom,” Mr. Nico R. Mamon, the Division Head for Organization Development and Corporation Planning (ODCP) at EK, said.
“Ito po ay first of its kind sa Southeast Asia kung saan ang ating kapwa Pilipino ay may kakayahan na ma-experience ang ride na ito,” Mamon added.
Designed by the renowned Italian manufacturer Zamperla, EKlipse offers an exhilarating experience suitable for guests of various ages, including pre-teens and teenagers. This addition underscores EK’s commitment to providing inclusive and immersive attractions for multi-generational visitors.
Moreover, Mr. Mamon said that the inspiration for this ride “is to really choose a ride that you feel would be multi-generational. Nagsimula po ito sa pagpapangalan ng ride kung saan we ask everyone to be part of the story of EKlipse,” Mamon added.
Last January, the theme park released a visual teaser for EKlipse as part of the ‘Name That Ride Campaign”, which allowed the park’s guests and followers to vote for the ride’s name online.
Among three pre-selected options, EKlipse was chosen by the thousands of voters as the name of this new family thrill ride.
“Last year we already asked everyone to select the name of the ride to our “name of the ride campaign” to our followers and from then, EKlipse po ang napili ng ating mga loyal followers ng Enchanted Kingdom so from there, sinama na po natin ang ating mga guests,” Mamon said.
EK loyal followers can enjoy this 2-minute ride with 32 32-passenger capacity, plus they can enjoy the view of Sta Rosa Laguna at different times of the day- morning, afternoon, and the evening.
When it comes to safety, Mamon assured them that it is their primary concern and they value the experience of the guests as “fun, magical, and safe.”
“With that, pumipili po tayo ng mga rides that are international and highly recognized. EKlipse is actually an award-winning ride from the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) kung san kasama po ang EK at sinisigurado po natin na ang rides na to ay talagang safe at we do maintenance, training, and service, and guest experience ay talagang napakaimportante, and this is something we really value in EK,” Mamon explained.
Performers during the EKlipse launch were rising P-pop group GAT, The Clash 2024 Grand Champion Naya Ambi, up-and-coming boy group AJAA, and EK’s homegrown talent SMS.
