Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Marquez Dee isn’t a loser after all.
As everyone knows, the country’s representative was only in the Top 10 in the previous 72nd MU in El Salvador.
But luck wasn’t exactly elusive to Michelle.
Just recently, albeit belatedly, the MU organization announced that it was Michelle who was named Best in National Costume.
This is apart from the three awards she previously clinched.
These are the Carnival Cruise, Top1 in fan votes and one of the three Golden Winners of Voice for Change for her inspiring advocacy in autism awareness based on her three-minute video.
There is even a running joke that Michelle may not have brought home the MU crown and sash but she ended up with MU Thailand Antonia Porsild, who finished first runner-up.
There ensued an instant friendship between the two all throughout the pageant.
The two were even captured comforting each other after Miss Thailand lost to Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua.
Back home Michelle will not be defeated especially by her home studio, GMA.
Michelle arrived home with good news she posted herself.
He said: “Joining a new show with a special role. Any guesses?”
But it was Michelle who also gave a statement.
He posted: “Clue: a la-Freya!”
Her clue is a super giveaway because she sounded off she’ll be part of GMA’s Sang’gre.
The said fantasy series is a sequel to Encantadia.
Since it has an element of action, it suits Michelle with her fighting form.
At least, even if she is not lucky enough to win the crown, Michelle has a job waiting for her.
Still a winner!
