The pilot episode of Sigabo reached a peak of 404,124 concurrent online viewers.
The series stars Coco Martin as Gabo Magtibay alongside Julia Montes.
Sigabo airs on TV5, ALLTV, A2Z, and the Kapamilya Channel.
The series went head-to-head with Master Cutter, starring Dingdong Dantes, on GMA Network.
On Monday, June 22, Master Cutter posted a 9.9% rating, compared to Sigabo‘s 8.2%.
However, Coco’s series failed to defeat Dingdong’s in the ratings battle—unless aggregate ratings across all platforms are taken into account.
This further proves the strength of Dingdong’s show, which recorded an 8.4% rating on GMA alone (it also airs on GTV).
Still, it is noteworthy that Master Cutter only managed a single-digit rating, which could be affected in the coming nights by the arrival of Coco’s highly anticipated series.
We’ll see in the succeeding episodes whether Sigabo can eventually overtake Dingdong’s show in the ratings race.
