Petro Gazz Angels’ Brooke Van Sickle’s week reached new heights as she was honored with the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in the Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) Champions League.
The University of Hawaii standout, also recognized as the Best Open Hitter, expressed gratitude to her teammates and coaching staff for their contribution to her success in the week-long tournament.
“I couldn’t be more grateful for my teammates and the coaching staff. They made it happen,” said Brooke, who delivered the championship-winning point amidst a fiery comeback by Cignal.
In addition to Brooke Van Sickle’s honors, her teammates Jonah Sabete received recognition as the Second Best Open Hitter, and Remy Palma earned the title of Second Best Middle Blocker.
Aby Maraño (First Middle Blocker) from Chery Tiggo, Gayle Pascual (Best Opposite) of St. Benilde, Gel Cayuna (Best Setter), and Dawn Macandili (Best Libero) of Cignal joined Van Sickle, Jonah Sabete, and Palma in the all-tournament team.
