MANILA, Philippines — Spider-Man: Brand New Day recorded the biggest post-pandemic opening weekend in the Philippines after earning P586.9 million during its first five days in theaters, from July 29 to Aug. 2, according to distributor Columbia Pictures Industries, Inc.

The film opened on more than 700 screens nationwide, making it the highest-grossing Spider-Man movie ever released in the country. It also registered the third-largest opening weekend in Philippine box office history, behind Avengers: Endgame and Avengers: Infinity War.
Columbia Pictures announced the milestone on Tuesday, citing the film’s strong performance across cinemas nationwide.
The movie also generated significant public interest during its opening weekend, with many theaters reporting sold-out screenings. Fans attended screenings dressed as Spider-Man, while several shopping malls featured the superhero’s signature red-and-blue colors in celebration of Spider-Man Day on Aug. 1.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day continues to screen in cinemas across the Philippines, including ScreenX, 3D, 4DX, and other premium formats.
