BIC, Sakhir: Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) officially launched the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2025, set to take place from April 11 to 13 as the fourth round of the FIA Formula 1 World Championship. This year’s event is particularly special as it marks Formula 1’s 75th anniversary, coinciding with the 75th anniversary of Gulf Air, the event’s title sponsor.
With the theme “The Desert Never Sleeps”, the Grand Prix weekend promises an unforgettable experience, featuring a thrilling 57-lap night race and high-speed action from Formula 1, Formula 2, Formula 3, and Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East.

Details of the mega sporting and entertainment extravaganza were announced during Press conference launch, which took place at the BIC premises in Sakhir with F1 superstar Oscar Piastri in attendance from reigning F1 Constructors’ World Champions McLaren.
Also on hand were BIC Chief Executive Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa, Gulf Air Chairman Khaled Hussain Taqi, Gulf Air Chief Customer Experience Officer Hanadi Alali, and world-renowned F1 presenter and commentator Laura Winter.

F1 Aramco Pre-Season Testing Begins Tomorrow
Ahead of the race, BIC will host F1 Aramco Pre-Season Testing 2025 from February 26 to 28, where fans will get an exclusive first look at the new driver lineups and rookie debuts. Notable changes include Lewis Hamilton’s move to Ferrari and Carlos Sainz joining Williams, alongside six rookie drivers entering their first full F1 season.
Fans can attend testing sessions on February 27-28, with tickets priced at BD10 for adults and BD5 for kids per day. Those who purchased Grand Prix tickets before December 7, 2024, can enjoy free access to the tests.

Exciting Entertainment & Family Attractions
Beyond the on-track action, the event will feature world-class entertainment, including Circus Extreme, a Ferris Wheel, and performances by international acrobatic acts, music bands, and roaming entertainers. Motorsport enthusiasts can explore the F1 Fan Zone, while kids can enjoy the Kids Race Festival featuring Sonic the Hedgehog, Snoopy, and more.
