The Megawide Construction Corp. said it has received the Notice of Award issued by the Office of the Mayor of Baguio City regarding the construction of the proposed P1.8-billion Baguio City Integrated Terminal (BCIT).
The award is subject to Megawide’s compliance with all terms and conditions set by the local government.
BICT will be located along Palispis Highway, 45 kilometers from the city proper with a span of five hectares. If constructed, it will feature passenger loading/unloading bays, a bus terminal, passenger waiting lounges, commercial spaces, parking for park-and-ride commuters, and designated green zones.
With the construction of the BICT, it will help lessen the decongested traffic arising in the city’s center by relocating provincial bus operations, improve commuters’ experience, and enhance its connectivity across the region.
The Megawide Construction Corp. is the same firm that has constructed the Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX). Aileen Lor
