Former Bulacan 1st District assistant engineer Brice Ericson Hernandez has tagged senators Jinggoy Estrada and Joel Villanueva in alleged irregularities involving flood control projects.
Hernandez made the statement during the continued hearing by the House Committee on Infrastructure regarding its inquiry into unnatural anomalies in the implementation of flood control initiatives by the people and the government of the country.
In addition to Estrada and Villanueva, Hernandez named former DPWH 1st District Engineer Henry Alcantara and Undersecretary Robert Bernardo as having some alleged adjuncts in the dubious projects.
The allegation comes a day after the Senate blue ribbon committee had deliberated on Hernandez’s finding himself in contempt for adamantly refusing to reveal information on his supposed gaming activities.
The House panel’s investigation delves into a wider probe over complaints of corruption and mismanagement in infrastructure spending, especially in flood control projects that are proven to be highly crucial in natural disaster areas like Bulacan.
