After years of successful solo careers, Jed Madela and Mark Bautista finally headlined their first full concert together, Moonlight Serenade, held on June 30 at the Manila Ballroom of The Manila Hotel.
The special dinner concert treated fans to an evening of timeless OPM and international classics, with both singers showcasing their signature vocals, exceptional artistry, and effortless chemistry on stage. Their outstanding performances once again proved why they remain two of the country’s finest and most respected vocalists.
One of the night’s biggest highlights was Jed’s powerful performance of “The Impossible Dream,” which earned a standing ovation. He also moved the audience with heartfelt renditions of “Kahit Maputi na ang Buhok” and songs popularized by Sharon Cuneta. His remarkable vocal control, soaring high notes, and emotional delivery drew praise from concertgoers throughout the evening.
Meanwhile, Mark energized the crowd with a lively Tom Jones medley before slowing things down with a selection of romantic ballads that showcased his versatility as a performer. His rich vocals, commanding stage presence, and heartfelt interpretations earned enthusiastic applause from the audience.
The audience also enjoyed the duo’s performances, including medleys of Willy Cruz classics and ABBA hits. Their seamless harmonies and undeniable musical chemistry delighted concertgoers, proving why they are among the country’s most celebrated singers.
Adding to the memorable evening, veteran actress Celia Rodriguez was among the distinguished guests who attended the concert to show her support for the performers. Former presidential spokesperson Salvador “Sal” Panelo also delighted the audience with a special song performance, adding another memorable highlight to the program.
Produced by Mam Daisy Romualdez, with musical direction by Butch Miraflor and directed by Miggy Tanchangco, Moonlight Serenade delivered a memorable evening filled with nostalgia, romance, and world-class Filipino entertainment.
