July 1, 2025 — According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), a Low Pressure Area (LPA) was located at 3:00 AM today approximately 650 km east of Infanta, Quezon (14.7°N, 127.7°E). The Southwest Monsoon is also affecting Visayas, Mindanao, and much of Luzon, contributing to widespread cloudy skies and scattered rain showers.
PAGASA forecasts cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the Bicol Region, Isabela, Quirino, Aurora, and Quezon due to the trough of the LPA. These areas are at risk of flash floods or landslides caused by moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila, the Visayas, MIMAROPA, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and the rest of Central Luzon and CALABARZON will also experience scattered rain showers and thunderstorms brought by the Southwest Monsoon. Residents are advised to remain alert for potential flooding and landslides.
The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, also due to the Southwest Monsoon. While rainfall may be more localized, severe thunderstorms can still lead to flash floods and landslides.
The rest of Luzon will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms caused by localized convective activity. PAGASA advises the public, especially those in flood-prone and landslide-prone areas, to stay vigilant and monitor further updates.
