President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has appointed geologist Carlos Primo David as undersecretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) geologist. He is the son of journalist-sociologist and known Marcos critic Randy David and the late former Civil Service Commission Chair Karina Constantino David.
The new DENR undersecretary is also the brother of broadcast journalist Kara David, UP Diliman’s journalism department chair.
Meanwhile, President Marcos has also appointed several Philippine Coast Guard officials (PCG) and promoted its spokesperson Armando Balilo to the rank of rear admiral.
