President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. announced that the Toll Regulatory Board has approved the suspension of toll fees on the Manila-Cavite Toll Expressway Project (CAVITEX) for a month. According to Marcos, the toll fee holiday will occur from July 1 to July 30, 2024.
“The Toll Regulatory Board, composed of the DOTr, DPWH, DOF, NEDA, and the private sector, has approved the recommendation to suspend toll collection—both RFID and cash—across all sections of CAVITEX starting from July 1 to July 30 this year,” Marcos stated.
In addition, Marcos expressed his gratitude to the TRB for their swift actions and recommendations to the PRA and also thanked the MVP Group for its ongoing support of the recent regulation.
The President highlighted this announcement while participating in three significant CAVITEX events last week: the groundbreaking ceremony for the CAVITEX-CALAX Link, the groundbreaking for CAVITEX C5 Link Segment 3B, and the inauguration of the CAVITEX C5 Link Sucat Interchange.
