The Department of Energy (DOE) said that oil companies in the Philippines have agreed to stagger a second major round of fuel price increases as the war in the Middle East continues.
According to the DOE, gasoline prices will increase by ₱12.90 to ₱16.60 per liter, while diesel prices will rise by ₱20.40 to ₱23.90 per liter. Kerosene prices will also go up by ₱6.90 to ₱8.90 per liter.
Shell plc said it will raise gasoline prices by ₱16.60 per liter, diesel by ₱23.90 per liter, and kerosene by ₱6.90 per liter, with the increases implemented in stages over three days starting March 17.
Meanwhile, Seaoil Philippines will increase gasoline by ₱16.30 per liter, diesel by ₱23.30 per liter, and kerosene by ₱6.90 per liter, with adjustments spread over two days from March 17 to March 18.
Petron Corporation will implement smaller hikes, raising gasoline by ₱12.90 per liter, diesel by ₱20.40 per liter, and kerosene by ₱8.90 per liter, while Flying V will apply the same price increases.
