According to Ferdinand Marcos Jr., the Philippines will not interfere in the issue involving Taiwan and China, while continuing to uphold the One-China policy.
The President said that the Philippine government considers the Taiwan issue an internal matter.
He also emphasized that the Philippines hopes any tension or conflict surrounding Taiwan will be resolved peacefully.
According to the President, peace and stability in the region remain important to the government, especially since nearly 200,000 Filipinos live and work in Taiwan.
He further stressed the importance of cooperation among countries in the Indo-Pacific region to prevent armed conflict and maintain peace and stability in the area.
