Former senator and Cabinet secretary Mar Roxas has been spotted rubbing elbows with some high ranking politikos over the weekend amid rumors he’s set to join the Marcos administration.
Roxas dined with Vice President Sara Duterte, former President and now senior Deputy Speaker Gloria Macapagal Arroyo in Roxas City, Capiz Saturday (April 15) during the commemoration of the late President Manuel Roxas’ 75th death anniversary.
Joining them at the table were several other personalities, including Senator Francis Tolentino and Capiz Governor Fredenil Castro.
The commemoration of former President Roxas’ death anniversary coincided with the kickoff of the province’s 122nd founding anniversary, named Capiztahan.
Speculation has been swirling in recent months that Roxas, a cousin of First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos, would be appointed to the Cabinet by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Roxas stepped back from politics after losing the 2016 presidential race.
