
The Philippine film “I’mPerfect” has reached another major milestone after receiving an official invitation to the 2026 Lucania Film Festival in Pisticci, Italy.
The film is making history as the first Filipino movie starring persons with Down syndrome to represent the Philippines at an international film festival. It highlights how stories about inclusion and authentic representation can connect with audiences around the world.

Before earning its international invitation, “I’mPerfect” had an impressive run at the 2025 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), where it won First Best Picture and the Jury Prize for Best Ensemble. Lead actress Anne Krystel Daphne Go also took home the Best Actress in a Leading Role award for her performance as Jessica.

Written and directed by Sigrid Andrea Bernardo and produced by Nathan Studios Inc., I’mPerfect stars Earl Amaba, Anne Krystel Daphne Go, Sylvia Sanchez, Tonton Gutierrez, Joey Marquez, Zaijian Jaranilla, Lorna Tolentino, Janice de Belen, Joel Saracho, Myke Salomon, Carl Jason Garcia, Richelle Joyce Primo Uy, Gio Jose Dicen, Angela Batallones, Javi Sarmiento, Bea Mendoza, Jonathan Tilos, and Akiko Thomson-Guevara.
