Manama: The Al Hilal Healthcare Group, in collaboration with the Philippine Embassy in the Kingdom of Bahrain, officially launched the Healthy Pinoy Campaign 2025 on July 29, 2025 at the Muharraq Ballroom.
The event was attended by Her Excellency Anne Jalando-on Louis, Philippine Ambassador to Bahrain, alongside Consul Bryan Jess T. Baguio, Labor Attaché Orville Ballitoc, Welfare Officer Juvilyn Anns Gumabay, SSS Representative John Sibbaluca, Assistance-to-Nationals Officer Lucia Ramirez, Embassy Staff Julius Mamaclay, and key officials from Al Hilal, including Dr. Sharath Chandran (CEO) and Mr. Asif Mohammad (Vice President).

Members of the media, Filipino community leaders, and local influencers also graced the occasion, underscoring the importance of community health and wellness.
The campaign—an annual initiative now set every August—will offer free health checkups for all Filipinos in Bahrain across Al Hilal branches throughout August 2025. The kickoff event is scheduled for Friday, August 1 at Al Hilal Medical Center, Manama Central Branch, and will feature:
- Free blood tests (blood sugar, cholesterol, kidney function, liver screening, uric acid) from 7:30 AM
- Free doctor consultations based on results
- Consular outreach services by the Philippine Embassy with MWO, OWWA, and SSS support
- A health awareness talk on healthy diet and chronic disease prevention by Dr. Naoufal Nazarudeen (9:00 AM – 10:00 AM)
Ambassador Jalando-on Louis expressed appreciation to Al Hilal for its sustained commitment:
“For the Embassy, the health and welfare of our nationals is a top priority. Hosting a campaign like this takes effort and resources, and we thank Al Hilal for stepping forward year after year. This partnership not only improves lives but strengthens bonds between embassies and private sector partners,” she said, adding that the Healthy Pinoy Campaign will now be a regular annual event every August.

Al Hilal CEO Dr. Sharath Chandran echoed this sentiment:
“We are committed to supporting the Filipino community through accessible, quality healthcare. This collaboration with the Embassy exemplifies how public-private partnerships can improve wellness and community engagement.”

The Healthy Pinoy Campaign 2025 stands as a milestone in healthcare accessibility and health awareness for Filipinos in Bahrain, reaffirming the partnership between the Philippine Embassy and Al Hilal Healthcare Group.
